filip Posted December 11, 2017 Share #41 Posted December 11, 2017 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi, I know of 2 instances where a good discount was offered by Leica also applicable to the new M10: - If there is a special Leica day at an important Leica dealer - If there is a Leica M demonstration rally where you can test Leica Ms in the field - for a small amount. In both cases a discount of 10% was offered. This was in Belgium/Luxemburg. I don't know if this is also applicable in the US or the rest of Europe. BR F. Advertisement Posted December 11, 2017 Posted December 11, 2017 Hi filip, Take a look here Bought a new M10 today. Here was Leica's reaction when I asked about any Cyber Monday sales specials. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Stonewall Brigade Posted December 11, 2017 Author Share #42 Posted December 11, 2017 Sure, but flouting excess wealth is generally seen as bad form in that position, at least from what I know! One thing to have it, another thing to flout it. Especially on the internet. From your position I'm sure you work with PR folks alot, I'm sure they'd tell you it's not good form. As you put it, "flouting excess wealth" is a personal foul best avoided. Yet this Leica Forum is filled with personal comments, and perhaps from you as well, about buying a $10,000 Noctilux lens, trading in one Summilux lens for another, tradfing their SL for an M10, or switching from the Hasselblad X1D to Leica, etc. Drop the sanctimonious preaching to me about wealth, or else dump your Leica gear and head over to a Fuji or Lumix forum where the economy of such camera ownership is more affordable.
