I am new to this forum because I want to buy an M8.2 camera but can't find one!

Their quality ratings of equipment are very conservative. I've received items listed as EX (excellent) still in the original box and shrink wrap. That's one flash, two M7 cameras and a 75mm Summilux. They also have a prompt, no questions asked return policy.

Their ratings are in my view ultra conservative. I just bought a 21mm Elmarit-M from them a few weeks ago in *Bargain* condition... to me it was near-pristine!

 

They just had a standard M8 for sale, it went pretty fast so you have to check fairly frequently if you’re in the market. All their equipment comes with a 90-day warranty.

KEH also has "holiday sales".  The current code is BF17 or BF17E depending on what you're buying.  The discount is from 10-25% off their normal sale price, depending on the item.  I've not bought anything from them, but I've spoken with them several times, and they seem knowledgeable and reasonable to deal with.  That's just my observation, not an endorsement.

I would call or email Popflash for the silver one listed earlier. Trustworthy dealer and clean and tested camera with warranty, new battery, 3 Leica UV-IR filters and both black and red logo options.

Just one remark...also have a look for an upgraded M8, it's about the same as a M8.2. They are easy to recognize, their top speed is 1/4000 and not 1/8000 as on the unmodified M8.

A few differences on the M 8.2....discreet shutter advance, vulcanite cover, black paint of M8.2 vs black chrome of M8, black dot (on black camera) and snapshot mode.

 

And this is only if the M8 includes all upgrades.... frame lines, sapphire screen and quieter shutter.... some cameras only received one or two upgrades.

I just managed to buy my first M8.2 on German eBay.  The appearance looks good which I hope is an indication that it has been looked after. Actuations 9750. Now I need to find me a lens!
