Hello, I have a Leica Summicron R 50mm f2 that has a little haze in the front group.  Should be easy to clean, but I can't figure out how to get the front name id ring off.  Most lenses will just unscrew off the front, but this one won't budge.  I don't see any type of grub screws or anything that might be holding it in place.  Anyone know?  Thanks.

I did find that one.  The 50mm does not have a grub screw like that one does, but that's what got me wondering if there was something else that I wasn't aware of.  I should have mentioned that this is the second version of the lens, with 55mm threads.  I have one of those rubber friction tools to remove the id ring, but this one won't budge.

I think there is maybe a reason behind it is not so easy to demontage the lens ?

If you fail at this point how do you think you put it together correctly ?

It's very simple actually.  For most lenses from this era, you unscrew the id ring, remove 3 screws under that, and the front group unscrews with a spanner wrench.  A lot of times (including this lens), the rear group can be removed without removing anything else.
