gpneil Posted November 7, 2017 Share #1 Posted November 7, 2017 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi, I have a Leica M-A typ127 and I've been using 35mm focal lens since I bought the camera. Today, I just mounted a Summilux 50mm ASPH lens to the M-A and then I noticed that the image frame was still 35/135mm, but the lever was changed to 50/75mm's position correctly. I also tried a 28mm lens, the frame was still 35/135mm but the position of lever was changed to 28/90mm. Did I miss something? Any comments/suggestions will be appreciated. Thanks a lot! -N

wattsy Posted November 7, 2017 Share #3 Posted November 7, 2017 Yes, sounds like your frame selection mechanism isn't working as it should. Sometimes if you don't click a lens firmly into place, the framelines aren't properly selected (you usually end up seeing more than one pair simultaneously) but this doesn't sound like what is happening in your case. If you manually move the frameline selector lever across all three positions you should see the frameline pairs change. If this isn't happening in your case you will need to get the camera serviced.
