Peter L Posted October 17, 2017 Share #1 Posted October 17, 2017 (edited) Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi All , I am intending to photograph thousands of dia positives (slides) both 35mm and medium format, using an enlarger stand and a color calibrated light table, with the leica Q and the interface app. The Leica Q macro setting doesn't enlarge enough , so I need a close-up lens/filter. Presently I am considering the Marumi DHG acromatic +3 49mm close up lens. Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions ? Thanks Peter i Edited October 17, 2017 by Peter L

gbealnz Posted October 18, 2017 Share #2 Posted October 18, 2017 Not conversant with the Q, but swear by a pair of Elpro close up lenses (V1a and V1b) on my X-Vario or T. They were made for the old Summicron R 50mm I have on my Leicaflex. You'll need to adapt them somehow, but it's not that hard. Gary

Thanks Peter The Marumi +3 and +5 work fantastically well with the Q and have the advantage of being pocketable. I posted many macro photos very early in the Q photo thread. I think you will be pleasantly surprised at the image quality and usability. No reason to expect that a fixed set-up for reproduction use wouldn't work just as well. The financial outlay to give it a try is minimal. Edited October 18, 2017 by thighslapper
