Which grayscale profile do you use?

I do mostly B&W photography and have kept my tiff images in Adobe RGB but I'm planning on converting them to grayscale profiles because the files are only about a third as big with grayscale. I've converted a few to Gray gamma 2.2. Is that one good? or do you recommend another profile?

Thanks!

If your color workspace is Adobe RGB (gamma 2.2) then Gray gamma 2.2 is a good choice because you won't experience any tonal shifts with the conversion. Gray lab space is another possiblity. This is linear with respect to Lab luminosity. You can get the profile from Roy Harrington (see the Gray read-me file in the download).
