Guest NEIL-D-WILLIAMS Posted September 27, 2017 Share #1  Posted September 27, 2017 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi I have two TL lenses and a bunch of M lenses. When I attach my 90mm APO f2 lens it shows up in lightroom as a 35mm lens. Where am I screwing up and how do I fix it?? Thanks in advance  Neil
Advertisement Posted September 27, 2017 Posted September 27, 2017 Hi Guest NEIL-D-WILLIAMS, Take a look here My TL2 isn't recognising my M lenses. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
gbealnz Posted September 28, 2017 Share #2 Â Posted September 28, 2017 Dunno. You're using the genuine Leica adapter? And the lens(es) are 6-bit coded? Then the info should come through. I had a few issues, using the genuine adapter, but with after-market 6 bit mount rings on a lens (50 Summicron I think). It didn't always work. If you've got the new 6-bit lenses though all should be fine. Gary

Gary  Gary my 90mm apple doesn't have the 6 bit code but on the SL you have an option to add it in the menu but I can't find where you do that on the TL  Neil
gbealnz Posted September 28, 2017 Share #4 Â Posted September 28, 2017 Ah, never thought of that. But, you have me stumped, I only have the T, so you'll need someone with the TL2 to assist. Gary
thighslapper Posted September 28, 2017 Share #5  Posted September 28, 2017 It's either recognised as coded and the info put in the EXIF file ....... or not.  No facility to manually add a lens from a list as far as I am aware, but I will try today with some uncoded lenses and see what happens.  It shows 35mm probably because that was the last lens you used that was recognised by the camera ..... nocturnal1 Posted September 28, 2017 Share #6  Posted September 28, 2017 On the original T, uncoded lenses (such as vintage M lenses) will all show up as 35mm by default. There is no menu for selecting a lens like you have on the M. I have not heard of (and doubt) either of these features changing with the T2, but I cannot confirm that. I have not found a convenient way of editing the exif data in my Lightroom workflow, so I have elected to color code the images in Lightroom to differentiate the various vintage lenses that show up as a 35.  To get your 90 to show up as such, my understanding is you will have to have it 6-bit coded. Jim-St Posted September 29, 2017 Share #7  Posted September 29, 2017 Advertisement (gone after registration) I use the Lenstagger LR plugin to fill gaps in exif when shooting with uncoded lenses on my M9, and when shooting on M43 with Leica-mount lenses. It's a bit clunky, and requires you set it up for each lens you want to use, but it gets the job done  Jim

northernlights Posted October 2, 2017 Share #9 Â Posted October 2, 2017 My Leica T recognises my older 28 summicron asph 6bit v1 but does not recognise my newer 35 Summarit f2.4 asph which is obviously 6-bit. It comes out as 35mm but unknown lens. Â Â
