Advertisement Posted September 6, 2017 Posted September 6, 2017 Hi CGarrard, Take a look here My contribution to the M8. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
otto.f Posted September 6, 2017 Share #2 Posted September 6, 2017 Nice review and I agree on the B&W with the M8, in that respect actually the most interesting of all digital M's because of the best infrared possibility. That it is "like a super quiet pocket camera" is a bit exaggerated however. I could not do theatre photography with it without people in the next row getting a bit irritated. That is really much better with the Monochrome1
CGarrard Posted September 7, 2017 Author Share #3 Posted September 7, 2017 Thanks Otto . It all depends on how you use it. I prefer discreet mode, and let it recock away.
otto.f Posted September 7, 2017 Share #4 Posted September 7, 2017 I did that, but still. Didn't occur to me with the M9 later on, in discrete mode. Perhaps a hypersensitive lady
CGarrard Posted September 7, 2017 Author Share #5 Posted September 7, 2017 Yes the recocking noise is much louder in the m8/9 than a silent shutter of a compact, I concur. Every situation is different so I understand. For myself, I saw a similarity to shooting with a compact so I reflected that in my review- but I totally understand your p.o.v. as well
