dancook Posted August 24, 2017 Share #1  Posted August 24, 2017 Advertisement (gone after registration) I don't use video much..  But when using the video function, I see banding, the video is ruined - just like the electronic shutter does.  Is this the SL or just video in general, and I tried various FPS 24-120 without joy  maybe I should have used 25 fps... TealWayFilms Posted August 24, 2017 Share #2 Â Posted August 24, 2017 Â Hi Dan, When you say banding, does it look like this about half way through? I was educated by another forum member that this type of banding is related to the 30fps interaction with the 60 Hz lighting in the operating room. I have not seen any problems with banding in any other video. Â Michael

TealWayFilms Posted August 27, 2017 Share #4 Â Posted August 27, 2017 Hi Dan, Â This looks like the same thing, with flickering artificial light interacting poorly with the frame rate. I have yet to return to the OR and search for a solution but theoretically a different shutter speed should resolve this problem. I am a bit confused though, as I never had this problem with the Sony A7s I used to take to the OR. I couldn't stand the color from that camera which led me to use the Leica SL.
