DeanFrankPhotography Posted August 20, 2017 Share #1 Posted August 20, 2017 Advertisement (gone after registration) Never mind, but thank you, I just answered my own question. I would delete this if I knew how. Hello, I have an odd question but here goes anyway. I have an M3 with a 50mm collapsable Summicron. I have a small-ish camera bag by Domke that I like because I can attach it to my belt and shoulder at the same time, which helps me be able to take longer treks. I have been keeping the lens collapsed in my bag because I was setting the camera bottom down on the bottom of the bag, back of the camera to the back of the bag against my side and the bag isn't wide enough to store that way with the lens extended. However getting the camera out in this position and extending the lens every time is a pain. I have some joint issues that reduce my mobility and the less I have to fidget with a camera, the more I can shoot. Does anyone know if it would be safe to extend the lens and store the camera lens-down in my bag as I carry it around? If not it is not, of course I will look into a larger bag or another configuration. Thanks in advance for any help.
