LocalHero1953 Posted August 16, 2017 Share #2 Â Posted August 16, 2017 What do you mean? You don't know how to set user profiles? It's in the manual. You don't know what they're for? They are a tool for saving a particular combination of menu settings.

I know what profile are for and how to set it, but haven't find use of it, I usually shoot in manual mode, and do quick set up when use, not sure if I save profile will save me more time, I might still need to adjust the iso, shutter speed, and aperture, so wondering if it in certain situation which I haven't encountered yet.. what it will be then....? LocalHero1953 Posted August 16, 2017 Share #4  Posted August 16, 2017 I suggest you try them and find out! I just have one profile of my default settings in case I need to set them all in one go. Other than that, I don't use profiles.
Jeff S Posted August 16, 2017 Share #5 Â Posted August 16, 2017 Some may distinquish settings when using a tripod, when using adapted lenses, when shooting in different lighting conditions, etc, even though circumstances may dictate further tweaks. antigallican Posted August 16, 2017 Share #6 Â Posted August 16, 2017 I have one profile for 'cont electronic shutter' and one for 'extended electronic shutter' as Wetzlar seem to have omitted to provide an assignable short cut for the shutter. Then I have 'upload profile' set on the front button. It means I can change shutter mode reasonably quickly. The advantage is silence, of course, whereas if you use the electronic shutter all the time you can be caught out by movement across the frame giving a distorted image.
