biglouis Posted June 25, 2007 Share #1 Posted June 25, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) I saw this shot from a bus on my way to work the other day and immediately thought it worth returning at the weekend to try to capture it. This is Gray's Inn Road at the junction with Theobolds Road, on the edge of the City of London. I think it quite amazing that in the centre of a congested city a colonade of trees can create a canopy which fills the road from one side to the other. The first is my favuourite but I include the others so the full effect can be seen. (BTW, while I was photographing from a pedestrian island in the middle of the Gray's Ins Road a taxi driver stopped and asked me if I was enjoying my stay in London. When I laconically remarked that the last 50 odd years had been fun he noticed my camera and asked me if it was an M8. We had a quick discussion about the virtues of the R-D1 before the light changed and he bade me farewell.), All R-D1 and Elmarit-M 28/2.8 iso
Advertisement Posted June 25, 2007 Posted June 25, 2007 Hi biglouis, Take a look here City trees. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
elansprint72 Posted June 25, 2007 Share #2 Posted June 25, 2007 BIG, I trudge down there about once a month, from Euston to the City. There is a fabulous secret, and private, garden somewhere in the vicinity too, iirc. Might lug the D2 with me next week. #1 is best I think- the light looks better somehow. Thanks for showing.
