Clandrel Posted July 15, 2017 Share #1 Posted July 15, 2017 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi, I bought a LNIB X2 Paul Smith Edition (exhibition model from a Leica Shop). It looks like it is a prototype (numbered PR37/PR60). Has anyone got a clue on the actual value of this prototype? What's strange is that the box with the numbered certificate says 37/1500. Not like printed on the camera. Was the first 60 out of 1500 called prototypes? Anyone? C

Volbeat Posted July 28, 2017 Share #2 Posted July 28, 2017 Congratulations - what you have is gorgeous. I've no idea if it's valuable. Yet. I found this on Pocket Lint from their review at the Photokina launch "The model we handled had "PR05/PR60" to its rear, but this is where the real deal, on-sale models will have their individual numbers from 1-1500. However Pocket-lint was told that the more prestigious numbers, such as 0001 and 1500, will be reserved for special occasions and are unlikely to be put on sale."
