It made no sense, but I figured at least i'd be in that long line somewhere. Well, Holy-Moly, its been less than 4 weeks and I received my little baby yesterday. CAMERA LAND NY - you rock. I just shot over 1000 images at The Louvre on a single battery. Got the battery low ,essafe while reviewing at the hotel. Less than 30 LV shots, 3 sec review, 2 min power saving, tuning camera off between galleries. Will be awhile before I can download to a computer. Just have nothing bad to say about the critter. They told me when I picked up the camera over a month ago, they were expecting to be able to service walk in traffic shortly as their list only had a few more buyers on it. I'm sure if you look to smaller authorized dealers unlike the Amazons and B&H where the lists were hundreds deep, you can get a camera in a couple of weeks, if not right now. Just last week, I received a text from Leica Store asking if I were keen in a unit of black M10. By evening I had it back home charging the battery. I would go there or another small Leica dealer mentioned on here if you want an M10 anytime soon, meaning in around a month or less. I think it helps to check back every week and see where you at.
