vinicio Posted July 12, 2017 Share #1 Posted July 12, 2017 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hallo everyone, is there any Q user that have any suggestion on this failure on my Q? I know I have to send it to Wetzlar but also curious to understand what's happened. Camera never fallen on the ground, no failure, no problems at all. I was shooting still life on tripod and Bowens on sides... suddenly the image on the bottom left appears and became larger and larger.... Thanks a lot Vinicio Welcome, dear visitor! camnh Posted July 12, 2017 Share #2 Posted July 12, 2017 It almost looks like delamination or sub-surface cracking on the screen.
adan Posted July 12, 2017 Share #3 Posted July 12, 2017 Could be LCD delamination, as camnh says: https://www.macrumors.com/2017/02/24/apple-extended-anti-reflective-repair-program/ Or it could be something penetrating (leaking) into the LC layer itself, causing the LCs to literally crystallize, and thus changing how they transmit light. http://chemistry.umeche.maine.edu/CHY132/lcdispla.jpg
