Why would you want an SL for free time ?

I had kept my Q and swoop the SL

For its size and compactness

Q for my travelling

But i have M at my disposal too

Well I want to explore something more complicated, something different so I got the SL. Next I wanna try out the M10. Fell in love with it when I was getting my SL at the Leica Store.

Got a comfy strap and protection leather case. Now I can go anywhere with the SL.

RRS bottom plate does a great job of protecting the bottom of the camera without the bulk of a leather case. Most of my blemishes tend to occur around the top of the camera at edges that the case shown doesn't cover.

To me it makes more sense to hold onto the Q until you have spent considerable time with the SL under a variety of shooting circumstances. It may turn out that you don't really like the SL, at least in certain situations. It may seem to heavy and bulky for everyday use. Then the Q will regain its luster in your eyes. Now if you are selling the Q to raise funds for the SL system, that changes the calculation.

Edit: Whoops, I failed to see that you already pulled the trigger. So, good luck with the SL.

I agree. It doesn't make sence buying and selling just Willy Nilly ............ you really need to slow down and make responsible decisions

Yeah After spending an evening take photos at an event using the SL, it does seem on hindsight that selling the Q is an error on my part but I would prefer to get some funds back by selling the Q. But what is good about the SL is that it forces me to put more thoughts when taking any photos. With the Q its more of a point and shoot when all settings are put to auto mode.

Yup I agree with U but with limited funds available and finding that the current camera U own are not able to fulfil certain needs, then the thought for upgrading becomes more relevant.

I have sort been of a lazy sort and try not to do much settings but with the SL, Im forced to learn more settings and take photos that are just on par with the Q and not any better as of now, it will improve one's skills and judgement when taking shots.

What's with the red cover on the camera. For goodness sake show the camera in its full beautifulnes not with a red (of al colors) cover on it :(

That's the only half case available I was able to get my hands on. To me, the photos that I take are all that matters. Whether the camera being shown in full glory or not, doesn't matter much to me.
