girphoto Posted June 23, 2007 Share #1 Posted June 23, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) Well what to do when the front moves into Kennedy Space Center while waiting for the Shuttle to Land...You try out a new 28mm F2.8 with Leica filter and photograph what happens to be in the area. The Shuttle landing moved to California due to low Cloud cover (image 1) inside a 1000 gal. fish tank from the out side (image 2) and a new born opussum with mother found sleeping and nursing in a trash can (no flash) The pre launch of Shuttle Atlantis (image 4) The Launch Comp Trail (image 5) All with the same lense from C1 to CS2 All I can say is that this is one great lense. marknorton Posted June 24, 2007 Share #3 Posted June 24, 2007 Is that what they call the "Vertical Assembly Building"? If so, interesting that you can still see the shutters on the side to let a Saturn V rocket out...
gwelland Posted June 24, 2007 Share #4 Posted June 24, 2007 I remember going on a tour there and they mentioned that each of the stripes of the US flag was actually the width of a 2 lane road wide. Hard to get a sense of scale of that building unless you're right up close to it. Now the Saturn V rocket that's on display really is HUGE!
