Stefflaurent Posted June 23, 2007 Share #1 Posted June 23, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi, what a pity I've just run my brand new M8. I put the battery (charged), a sd card (Sandisk Extrem III 2Go) , I switched it on for the first time and then... : nothing ! The rear lcd panel shows only a white surface...but the camera can take pictures and I can view them on my computer. But I can't go and see the menu item. I can't neither reload the firmware : lcd is white ! Has anyone experienced this kind of problem ? I'm sorry , being a Leica user for years (own a M3 and a MP with various lens), I don't know what to do now : maybe should I send it back to Solms, what a pity (brand new).. Stephane. Advertisement Posted June 23, 2007 Posted June 23, 2007 Hi Stefflaurent, Take a look here Serious M8 Problem ...LCD panel definitively white !. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
robsteve Posted June 23, 2007 Share #2 Posted June 23, 2007 Bring it back to where you purchased it and have them get you a new one. You shouldn't have to endure a trip to Solms for a dead out of the box camera. Robert
