Screen protector for EVF

Yes they do. Certainly it is available in UK for £15 for a pack of two. Since it is sold in Leica packaging it should be available elsewhere. It has a slightly matte finish and doesn't impair the functioning of the screen in any way as far as I can see. It doesn't appear to be tough enough to be impact resistant, more scratch resistant.

The Leica screen protector is for the rear LCD screen not the EVF.  I don't know of anyone who sells a protector for the EVF.

I had an EVF protector on for awhile (camera came with it) - it totally messed up the eye to EVF response time (thought something was wrong with the camera) so I took it off and threw it away and everything works as it should now.

It did still switch but got WAY faster without the protector - it came with the protector and maybe it was too dark - didn't care about removing it - this tool is for shooting images and the faster the EVF response the better - guess I could put it in a high end ziplock bag and go shooting with it  :)

Never put something on a Optical view finder (which the Q's is in a way, it's a few lenses and then a small LCD screen...) Don't ruin the quality by trying to protect it...

Thats like those transparent plastic covers for sofa's sure it might last longer, but it cuts down what the sofa is meant for by 50%... comfort/quality.

small scratches in the coating of the viewfinder won't even be noticeable.

Well.

There is protective film available for Leica Q's EVF.

Company called Gilrajavy's Protective film set includes two set of screen protector for both Main LCD and EVF.

I've been using it for almost year.

There is no color distortion that I could notice.

Touch screen even feels better than original glass. Their quality is superb.

I'm not a screen protector using type of person since most of screen protectors decrease the color of the original screen but Q is huge investment for me so I tried this one.

I was surprised the quality of their protector.

Unfortunately they are asian company but I do see they are available in Amazon.

this is the Leica q's protector page from the manufacture's original site.

The site is in their language but you can see their screen protector set includes one for EVF.

**I am not related with this company at all.
