balooo Posted April 30, 2017 Share #1 Posted April 30, 2017 Advertisement (gone after registration) Does any of you know WHEN Leica will finally introduce the ability to film in 4K with the Leica Q? I heard not so long ago in an interview of the folks who've created the Leica Q that they will introduce 4K when they will have fixed the heat problem that happen with 4K shooting, but i was wondering if anyone knows more. Doesn't sounds too me impossible to do, my Leica DLux although much smaller can film in 4K ( probably thanks to Panasonic technology ) and the fact that the sensor has more pixels shouldn't be a problem too ( my Sony A7R2 has a 42MP sensor and shoot perfectly in 4K too ). Hope the 4K mode will come soon, i'm just waiting for it to buy the Q...!
Advertisement Posted April 30, 2017 Posted April 30, 2017 Hi balooo, Take a look here Leica Q 4K Video Mode. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
i-Leica Posted April 30, 2017 Share #2 Posted April 30, 2017 Video on Q is very bad, you can pull contrast all the way down and still you get problems with shadows, colors are bad too...
likealot Posted May 7, 2017 Share #3 Posted May 7, 2017 I hope Leica decides to get rid of the movie capability in the Q alltogether and use the space for something that is more useful for photography.
