footnoteblog Posted June 21, 2007 Share #1 Posted June 21, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) Amidst the jumble of cables I have, what color, tips, and the like identify the cable bundled with the M8? Thanks.
Advertisement Posted June 21, 2007 Posted June 21, 2007 Hi footnoteblog, Take a look here Picture of the USB cable?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Shootist Posted June 21, 2007 Share #2 Posted June 21, 2007 Black, standard USB on one end and small funny looking plug on the other (I have no idea what the other end is called but there is a name for it). That same cable is used for all kinds of stuff. I must have a dozen of them around my house. The same cable works for Nikon and Canon, at least the Nikon and Canon cameras I have, and a host of other USB devices, like my card reader. Why don't you just open the trap door on the M8 and look? To be honest I have only connected my M8 to a PC once or twice in the 5 months I've had it. Do yourself a big favor and buy a card reader, and never open that trap door on the M8. carstenw Posted June 21, 2007 Share #3 Posted June 21, 2007 The funny plug is a mini-USB plug, for the passive end.

carstenw Posted June 22, 2007 Share #5 Posted June 22, 2007 It doesn't have a red dot, if that is what you were wondering It is a very generic-looking black USB-mini USB cable.
