Jeff S Posted April 30, 2017 Share #21 Posted April 30, 2017 Advertisement (gone after registration) M10 and M8.2, the latter for backup only. I prefer the M8.2 to the M9, but neither meet M10 standards. Jeff
Advertisement Posted April 30, 2017 Posted April 30, 2017 Hi Jeff S, Take a look here Anyone has both M10 and M9. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
bilbrown Posted May 8, 2017 Share #22 Posted May 8, 2017 I have the original M8 (with the 1/8000 shutter speed and a replaced shutter as of last year), MM, M240, M246, Q, SL, S007 and since a few days after the release the M10. I have not fully bonded with the M10, although I have coupled a few of my favorite lenses with it - it wasn't until l put a 50 APO on the body did I realize how good it really is. I still use the M240 and M246 a lot and the MM which is of course based on the M9. I really think each M body has its operating plusses and minuses to the point where when someone complains that the M* is "too slow" it baffles me. When you only had 24-36 exposures and had to crank the release each time - did you care about how responsive the camera was? you get used to it. One more thing, I personally like carrying multiple bodies with different characteristics and lenses on them. I might carry the M9/MM and a M10 on the street with one having the 35 cron and the other the 50 APO, or a 28 cron and a 75. I might even use the Q and the M10. In a shoot I will often use the SL with a 90 and one of the M bodies. See what I mean yet? You can keep both and not be mad about it later. They are the same system after all, just different or updated tools.
