svenning Posted June 21, 2007 Share #1 Posted June 21, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) The frigate "Jylland" - seen in it's drydock in the city of Aebeltoft, Denmark. The frigate Jylland was the last of the three successfull propeller frigates of "the Niels Juel class", drawn by the director of the naval dockyard, Otto Suensson. The keel was laid 11th of June 1857 on slipway no. 2 at Nyholm and when launching at the 20th of November 1860 - 35000 kubikfod oak tree had been consumed to build the frigate.
