Differences in image of Leica M8 vs M9

I have M-E and M8. I don't see, feel any difference related to the crop. With M8 you'll get smaller than M9 picture, but not the crop.

To me M8 and M-E image rendering is different. I get more with M-E. Something which is now called as dynamic range. M-E has more of it. But M8 reminds me color negatives scans with not expensive flatbed scanner. Which is also neat.

I have a request for you to make a photo of me with M8 and M-E of the same object, the same lens and send a wetransfer .dng and .jpg file? This will help me a lot. I tested M-E before I bought the M8 and now I can not do the test now. Please do something with ISO 640 or 1250.

You will help me very much.

Why not :). My M8 set to ISO 640 as maximum and M-E set to 1250 as maximum. I'm not a big fan of post processing.

If light is low I would not hesitate to use M-E at 2500 for color prints with straight or minimal NR. And for BW M-E ISO 2500 SOOC is nice. M8 still does it OK in color at 1250 if light is not so low. M8 ISO 2500 is BW only for me, if I want heavy grain.

Link for the test files, if somebody else is interested.

Just for curiosity I took one more picture with M8 at ISO 2500. It doesn't looks perfect as file.

But on small 4x6 print it is different. Everything looks clean.
