Considering a SL ; anyone with Leica S experience moved to a SL ?

Well, thank you to everyone who answered.

I made my decision and I went with the SL ; few reasons why :

- I have splendid M lens. I love my 28 Summilux, the 50 Lux ASPH and so on. SL means I can use them

- I will keep my M9 if I want a really really light package. The SL will compliment that with insane high iso and multi lens capability

- video while not a necessity by any means, its nice to have

- got the SL at a good price. if I decided to sell it, shouldn't be really a problem and the loss will be "somewhat" minimal, since I bought the SL used

Main reason was : lack of memory. I'll explain this one - when we were young, many decades ago, we had that crush in high school. in our minds , a perfect girl that we talk very highly today.... until we search for a high school photo album to show a friend what we were really talking about and we realised that she was ugly as hell and we romanticised all these 30 or 40 years, how she looked back then. Same thing with the S.

I had a S2 before, so I went through the pictures I took ( quite a few thousand ) and I was floored. At base ISO, the pictures are superb. The pop, the 3D, the sharpness, glorious. Iso 400 is messy as hell. Iso 800 is yuck. On top of that, the "fast" lens is f2.5. And trying to keep ( that I remember ) everything steady, handholding, with such low iso settings, at 2.5 aperture, sometimes not an easy task.

Then, there is the mirrorless path - which, to be honest, I love. Not because of the sensor pixel or draw, but the flexibility. Using Contax glass, using Canon FD L glass, next to my Leica glass, is something that I'm very looking forward to. My favourite lenses with my ( now sold, thank God ) Sony A7RII, were Contax 50mm 1.4 and Contax 85mm 1.4.

Funny thing : I bought the body only with the M adapter. I did not buy the zoom - yet. I'm going to get used to the camera without the 24-90 zoom : its big. its a truck. I might get it after or the 50 lux.
