Bob Tilton Posted March 27, 2017 Share #1 Posted March 27, 2017 Advertisement (gone after registration) Having thoughts on buying/upgrading to the 109. Would serve as companion to M240. D lux 4 is currently serving me well (no out of pocket money) but liking aperture ring and other features of 109. Please advise.
Advertisement Posted March 27, 2017 Posted March 27, 2017 Hi Bob Tilton, Take a look here Keep D Lux 4 or buy Typ 109?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
lawman Posted March 27, 2017 Share #2 Posted March 27, 2017 Bob - I have both- I love the compact size of the DL4 but the 109 is a far better camera. The sensor size gives a much more useful file and the manual controls work well. Hope this helps [emoji16]
Roger Pellegrini Posted March 27, 2017 Share #3 Posted March 27, 2017 I have both a D-Lux 6 and a 109 and like the D-Lux much more. In fact, I am getting ready to put my 109 on eBay. The 109 is bigger, does not have a built-in flash, and I think it is over engineered.
Bob Tilton Posted March 27, 2017 Author Share #4 Posted March 27, 2017 Thank you both! Also, thanks for including DL6. I am considering that as well since I like the idea of the 240 and DL6 being of the same "genre" - 2012/13 models. Again, thanks for the replies/feedback! lawman Posted March 27, 2017 Share #5 Posted March 27, 2017 I don't have a DL6 but the 109 does play ok with my 240 - although the 240 files are much better in Lightroom. The large sensor means higher ISO- I rarely use the flash.
