Availability of film, developing, and scanning around Apeldoorn

Hi Eoin

The Hema drugstore chain sells rebranded Fuji 135 film as well as Instax films if that's interesting. They have two 3-packs, ISO 200 and ISO 400, both costs 6,95 Eur I believe and are 36 frames. Each such pack comes with a voucher for free developing at Hema (so only costs for prints/CD, see below).

Their lab develops 135 (and 120 in case she brings the Kowa :) ) C41 and E6. Price for development is around 3 Eur per roll regardless of the format (twice that for push processing). They also develop b&w. This is the Hema page for all their analog services (Dutch).

Hema will put 135 photos on CD (in two sizes, 1800x1200px and 384x256px JPGs) if one orders prints of the film. The added cost is 2,95 Eur (plus the print costs, which are 0,20 Eur per print at 10x15).

I have all my 120 development and all my E6 135 development done by them here in The Hague and am very pleased with the results. Usually it takes three days to get the rolls back. There are a few Hemas in Apeldoorn

The Kruidvat chain also sells film, the Agfa Vista 200 (36) and 400 (24). They're very good value for money. They also develop but only 135 film, I believe (and I'm unsure about E6). I used them quite a bit until I added 120 to my arsenal and then switched to Hema to have all developing done in one spot. There are also Kruidvats in Apeldoorn.

There are also a few photo shops but I don't have personal experience with them, Camera Tools which also deals in analog photography and Foto Hofma which is a smaller photo shop.

Don't hesitate to ask questions. I'm happy to help. And of course do let me know if you're inbound yourself at some point.

Our daughter is heading to Apeldoorn, Netherlands, for 6 months, with my M6 obediently in hand. Does anyone know of any shops in the vicinity selling film, and doing developing / scanning?

Thanks,

Eoin

Excellent, Philip! Thank you very much for the comprehensive rundown, and for taking the time to add in links.

This is the best aspect of the LUF - Great advice given freely.

I'll pass this on to her so that her foray into film continues unabated.

Best regards,

Eoin
