roverover Posted February 27, 2017 Share #1 Posted February 27, 2017 Advertisement (gone after registration) I do not know if this is an issue with my camera or intentional program design (more likely), but I have recently discovered by accident that when set to use Timer mode, (2 or 12 sec), the SET Manual WB (greycard) feature is disabled on my 240. I can take a Greycard photo in Timer mode, but the cross-hair arrow never appears to pick and set the White Balance sample. The feature does work fine in Single and Continuous mode (it takes just 1 photo in C mode), but not in Timer mode you can not pick the sample to Set. It's probably not a bug and it is Not a problem but thought I'd post what i had discovered should anyone else be working in Timer mode and try to manually set the WB via photo. Seems to me the program should disallow the Set Manual WB "Greycard" feature when the camera is in Timer mode if it isn't possible to do that. digger1914 Posted February 28, 2017 Share #2 Posted February 28, 2017 I must admit that the use of this feature eludes me. I do use a WhiBal card, but just take a shot of the card and use Capture One to set white balance in the ensuing shots. It just seems easier that way to me. Sure, that's another way of doing it, i was merely pointing out what i had learned about the camera's functionality.
