Jared Posted March 2, 2017 Share #8 Posted March 2, 2017 Here are a couple of mine from last summer on Martha's Vineyard... First, the Gay Head Lighthouse at Aquinah. This is a combination of approximately ten or twelve separate five second exposures in order to get the "beams" from the lighthouse and still get a reasonably well lit scene. Taken with the 'Q', of course, at an ISO of 800. Welcome, dear visitor! As registered member you'd see an image here… Simply register for free here – We are always happy to welcome new members! I'm afraid a lot of the detail is lost in compression from the upload. Oh, well. It's a rather nifty photo, I think. Jared Posted March 2, 2017 Share #9 Posted March 2, 2017 Here is one of a lightning storm as the ferry back to the mainland is taking on passengers in Vineyard Haven. This was a 4 second exposure at ISO 100 with the lens wide open. Welcome, dear visitor! Jared Posted March 2, 2017 Share #10 Posted March 2, 2017 And here is one of sunrise on Lucy Vincent beach. It's a 3s exposure at ISO 100 with the lens stopped down to f/4 or so. Jared Posted March 3, 2017 Share #14 Posted March 3, 2017 Glad you like them. The lighthouse shot in particular was quite challenging to process. Had to stack the sky and the land separately, and because of how the 'Q' handles distortion, the sky had to be stacked in quadrants in order to keep all the stars as points. It took several hours to get it right. - Jared
