huwge Posted June 23, 2007 Author Share #3  Posted June 23, 2007 This is a side entrance to the Funf Höfe shopping mall in Munich which is a great place for architectural and people shots. Usually I prefer the 24 or 35 for this venue, but have been playing around with this old 'cron and really it has become somewhat glued to the M8 of late.  The orange paint is quite intense, but I was really pleased with how the camera and lens coped with this. "A" mode can sometimes over-expose, but seemed to manage quite well here. I was more pleased with the composition here than with a couple of others in the sequence where I was using manual exposure.  There is a heady mix of natural and artifical light at the location which is why I like it for a "testing" venue. The Auto WB with the M8 is so inconsistent that I dare not shoot anything other than DNG and as others have note the Leica jpegs aren't great either when you compare them to what you can do yourself.  I think this is a reasonable rendering of the location and I am quite surprised that the ceiling lamps did not cause clipping.
