Rick Posted February 7, 2017 Share #1 Posted February 7, 2017 Advertisement (gone after registration) Dynamic Range. We needed more, right? Well, there it is... Snowy day and the whole histogram curve fits well within the dynamic range space of the M10. Anyone else noticing this problem? I suppose I could slide the highlights to the right, then crush the blacks to the left... but I don't particularly always like the HDR look. Rick Welcome, dear visitor! mmradman Posted February 7, 2017 Share #2 Posted February 7, 2017 Matrix metering or just correct exposure?
Rick Posted February 7, 2017 Author Share #3 Posted February 7, 2017 Matrix. Leica matrix metering is pretty good. Then set exposure to it manually. Locked ISO dial at 100. Lens: 50/1.4/FLE at f5.6. Infinity focus... then point and shoot! Post Processing: Eye dropper WB to snow. Bumped Vibrance and Saturation (Leica has Saturation too low, for me). Bumped the whites because, dull day and the M10 has huge DR and I enjoy a little pop. (not you pop) Clarity added to bring out trees. Rick

LotharZhou Posted February 11, 2017 Share #6 Posted February 11, 2017 The DR range on my M10 is noticable better than M9 in most contrasty situations.
