Does the M10 require a higher diopter magnification than the M240?

I use a +1.0 diopter lens on my M240, and shoot without wearing my glasses.

Without access to the newer/larger diopter for an M10, I taped the old one on it temporarily. It was hard to focus because the VF patch was slightly blurred. It appeared to lack magnification, I'm guessing +0.5.

But when I shoot with my glasses on and with the +1.0 diopter attached, the VF focus patch is super clear and the resulting images are tack sharp.

Anyone has the same experience?

The camera spec says that the M10 viewfinder has the same -0.5 diopter as all other Leica Ms. I've ordered the same strength diopter correction lens I used on my M-E so if there is a difference I'd better try it out when the dealer gets it in.

Could the increased Eye relief of the M10 have something to do with it?

I've just started using the + 3 diopter I was using on my M10 (via the thread adapter) and find that it's fine.

See the attached picture (100% crop) of the text I've just written.

Seems to be focusing OK...  :)
