Rick Posted January 28, 2017 Share #1 Posted January 28, 2017 Advertisement (gone after registration) I have just renamed my camera folder in my M10 to WILLI. WILLI was the Leica code name for the M10. Willi refers to Wilhelm Stein (Willi). He was the designer of the M3, the first M. This nod to this historic Leica figure sure says something about the design concept of the M10. I found it interesting. http://www.l-camera-forum.com/leica-wiki.en/index.php/Wilhelm_Stein http://theonlinephotographer.typepad.com/the_online_photographer/2009/09/remember-willi-stein.html http://www.overgaard.dk/the-story-behind-that-picture-0132_gb.html (Thorsten Overgaard has a picture of Willi's personal M3 if you page down to the middle of the article). https://www.justcollecting.com/cameras/top-10-most-expensive-vintage-cameras (Expensive!) http://leicarumors.com/2012/11/24/the-three-most-expensive-serial-production-leica-cameras-sold-for-e3-6-million-at-the-latest-westlicht-auction.aspx/ RickWilli p.s I'm going to spend the rest of the weekend playing with my Willi.
