Hi

Bought my Leica X a month ago.

I’m having trouble with a very tight lens cap and after using my camera the rubber sealing is curled and now I need to buy a new one (picture)

Someone who has had this problem?

I have the same issue with my preowned Leica X that I bought the other month. I looked into resolving the tape inside, and this can be done by Leica. However the previous owner of mine had included an X Vario lens hood - yes its black and doesn't look brilliant on the camera, but on the positives it screws into the 43mm thread, and means you cannot use the lens cap - it does comes with its own lens cap, hood cover.  I have totally changed over to this, and put my lens cap back in the box for storage - after all I am more interested in taking shots with the camera, than what it looks like.. - Just my view - and possibly the cheapest way to resolve this issue, which I feel will repeat if you have it fixed.

Hi - This is what the X113 looks like with the X Vario hood on the lens - not ideal, but saves me having to solve the tape issue in the Leica lens  cap, which I have put away in the box for now.

I have used this set up yesterday on a nice sunny day, doing both street and other photography and it was fine, in fact if I am honest I preferred it.

The strap is the Kolomboi from Tie her up Straps.
