How to upload images: Prepare the image as follows: 1.   The image should be sRGB and 8-bits 2.   Reduce the size to 2048 pixels on the longest side. (smaller sizes can be set, but are not recommended) 3.   Sharpen properly for screen. 4.   Save as JPG to your desktop, reducing JPG quality to produce 2000 kB (5000 kB for sponsoring members). 5.   In Lightroom these parameters should be set in the Export dialog. 6.   In the Forum posting or editing box, click “choose Fil

I work in a building created by the same architect, Rafael Viñoly, and have visited this building in Tokyo.  Many similarities between them, but each unique.  Nicely captured here!

M10 + CV35/1.7

One year ago yesterday I got my (secondhand) M10.

I'd seen it in the store two weeks previously, and it ticked all my boxes (mint, low mileage, all the accessories, keenly priced for the time) ummed and arred for a week (ok I mean wondered how to pay for it) then decided upon it and reached the store as they opened on the following Monday morning.

No M10.

Sold? I asked

No reserved. Guy's got a week to decide.

What followed was a very long week... ending with a mad dash to reach the store as they closed for the Saturday.

The following day (Sunday, one year ago today) mrs Adam took me to a little place I'd never been before and I got to use the camera out and about for the first time.

I've been very happy with the M10, one of my better upgrade decisions.

(Yeah the story's better than the photo, but I wanted a shot from the actual day a year ago!!!)

This month I bought a new m10. I was doubting between a m9 or another m8, but the offer of this new m10 was too good to let it pass. I didn't use it a lot though, shot may be two films with it (for the newer generation, around 70/80 images) as time was not at my side. Below one of my first serious images, taken with the VL nokton 35/1.4sc. 

I was afraid the nokton sc would not be a good choice (as I bought it for b/w), but till now, it has been glued on the m10 and I am enjoying it a lot. It might be great for portraits due to its softness...
