NB23 Posted July 10, 2014 Share #3101 Posted July 10, 2014 Advertisement (gone after registration) Great enlarger. I have a IIa modified. Totally. My Black and Gray IIC color as well as my V35 don't see any use since I own my IIC fitted with a brand new 65 and Focotar-II 100mm. My Xpan prints are incredible, also. Best enlarger ever.

leicaoptik Posted September 3, 2014 Share #3111 Posted September 3, 2014 my black paint collection (not a "real" black paint M2 so I posted it in the MP thread) note that the little Voigltänder Héliar 28 is black painted brass as well Very nice the blackpaint glasses. The lux is from the MP3 series, where did you get it? Whats that M2? greetz Philip
stephan_w Posted September 4, 2014 Share #3112 Posted September 4, 2014 Very nice the blackpaint glasses. The lux is from the MP3 series, where did you get it? Whats that M2? thanks! Well, it took some time to get this collection together. The Lux was exchanged from the photographer Pierre Crié, a friend, who got a Lux 75 for it, and the other lenses were also private sales. The M2 (and the Leicavit) were used and not very nice to look at, so I decided to let them paint by a french guy who makes this very well. For me this is just fine, I don't need original things, I admire just the "look and feel" of nicely made cameras. The MP is often in use with the Lux, and the small Voigtländer is a nice glas, for film. Actually I'm just missing a "50 Jahre Summicron" black paint to complete the collection, but prices a bit weierd now so it may take some more time to get one. christoph_d Posted September 4, 2014 Share #3114 Posted September 4, 2014 A nice piece of equipment, with the wooden handle adding that extra touch of luxury A bit OT, but is the RPX25 a match in terms of quality? Rgds C
honcho Posted September 4, 2014 Share #3115 Posted September 4, 2014 ....is the RPX25 a match in terms of quality?... I like it, my preference is for slow emulsions.
leicaoptik Posted September 4, 2014 Share #3116 Posted September 4, 2014 thanks! Well, it took some time to get this collection together. I know about it in silver. I have the "millenium 50 lux" in blackpaint and I like the focus ring and the E46 Filter diameter. It is from the series of your 35 cron, but the 35 cron does not have the nice focus ring. The lux you have is a beauty, but is the filter diameter a going one? Yours Leicavit is also from the MP3 series, like the one I have- please see the "I love my MP3 thread" in the analog area... I wish to have an "old" 50 cron in blackpaint but "money is too tight to mention" Viel spaß mit Deiner wunderbaren Ausrüstung.
desu Posted September 18, 2014 Share #3117 Posted September 18, 2014 Is it just me or does the chrome of the MP look more shiny than that of the old Leicas?
wattsy Posted September 19, 2014 Share #3118 Posted September 19, 2014 Is there a "50 Jahre summicron bp"? I know about it in silver. Kind of. There was a black paint 50 Summicron that was sold with the MP Classic as a kit. That lens is essentially the 50 Jahre in black paint.
FrozenInTime Posted September 20, 2014 Share #3119 Posted September 20, 2014 Is it just me or does the chrome of the MP look more shiny than that of the old Leicas? The chrome on the M6 and later definitely seems to be more specular - it's very obvious under direct halogen lighting. I prefer the old. Was the old process stopped due to environmental or Health & Safety regulations ?
Frank Sellitto Posted September 24, 2014 Share #3120 Posted September 24, 2014 Easy guys. They're only light-tight boxes to hold your film. They are a little more than that!
