djmay Posted December 24, 2016 Share #81 Posted December 24, 2016 Advertisement (gone after registration) Well, it's about bokeh of Leica S lenses, so why post pics of Contax lenses? Because it's relevant for comparison, right? The OP mentioned comparison to the Noctilux, so I thought a slightly wider discussion of the role of bokeh was not inappropriate. I apologize for stepping over the line. --Matt Naughty list for you Sent from my Lenovo YT3-850L using Tapatalk

alan.y Posted December 24, 2016 Share #82 Posted December 24, 2016 I don't have a SL, but I would agree with this. I very much like the EF 85 f/1.2L MkII on my Canons (particularly for portraits), but the focus-by-wire makes it totally impractical on my M's. The shots I did were just to see if I could. Perhaps consider the mechanical FD 85/1.2 L.

peterv Posted December 29, 2016 Share #84 Posted December 29, 2016 It all depends ... You think, he thinks, they think, we think. In the end, no one but Andreas owns this thread. Last time I looked at the title of this threadir read: Battle of the Bokeh with S Lenses I say live and let live, and give fellow participants a chance tto show what hey think is relevant. sortvitt Posted December 30, 2016 Share #87 Posted December 30, 2016 Advertisement (gone after registration) Leica S007 120mm Supercron I know my old lady looks great but hay............check this handsome guy out :) Bokeh of the S-120mm is extraordinary. I gave up on the S system, but if anything it would be the 120mm that would entice me back.

mgrayson3 Posted December 31, 2016 Share #89 Posted December 31, 2016 OK, If other lens bokeh is off topic, then AF failure certainly is. God knows, we have enough threads dominated by AF failure. Might as well criticize Leica service while we're at it and complete the set. --Matt
Guest NEIL-D-WILLIAMS Posted December 31, 2016 Share #90 Posted December 31, 2016 The Leica S system has resurrected into an amazing system that in reality isn't going to be beaten. Yes it's had lens and body issues....... who hasn't. At the end of the day it's the pictures that we print or show off that matters. If anyone is on the fence will I won't I just do it .......you won't be disappointed Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
