Guest NEIL-D-WILLIAMS Posted November 16, 2016 Share #26 Posted November 16, 2016 Fantastic looks kind of 70/200mm size Next question....how is the AF compared to native S lenses (ones that are not broken )??
albireo_double Posted November 16, 2016 Share #27 Posted November 16, 2016 Advertisement (gone after registration) I'd say AF is about the same. Pretty much no difference in use between HC lenses with adapter and native Leica CS lenses. There are even profiles in LR for the HC lenses on a Leica S. Pretty much no difference in use between HC lenses with adapter and native Leica CS lenses. There are even profiles in LR for the HC lenses on a Leica S. Theres one on eBay going for $3500 new but the Dutch bloke is being a pr!ck about not being able to ship it via FedEx and can only use UPS which is 100% not user friendly. B&H have them for 4500 plus 1600 for the adapter so looking at 6k ++ I was adamant about just taking my 250mm lens and shoot that manually but AF is just so much more user friendly especially while on safari............. Let me bust this Dutch guys ball some more and see if I can get him to change his mind
jip Posted November 16, 2016 Share #29 Posted November 16, 2016 Fantastic looks kind of 70/200mm size Next question....how is the AF compared to native S lenses (ones that are not broken )?? FAST! and the Aperture stopdown speed is FASTER just like the CONTAX lenses... basically the Leica lenses are slow...

nunnzzzz Posted January 4, 2017 Share #34 Posted January 4, 2017 I just bought an HC300 Hasselblad lens and the autofocus works perfectly with my 007. Note that I had to go thru several adapters first. My first Leica adapter was faulty but new one works perfectly Very fast focus and beautiful images Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I'm back on the rig in Nigeria and heading straight to Tanzania after my hitch so no way to get the lens to me before the Safari. Thanks for looking out for me. After the Safari and seeing how the 250mm works in Manuel I will make my mind up if I want/need auto focus
