Infantasy Posted November 13, 2016 Share #1  Posted November 13, 2016 Advertisement (gone after registration) Dear forum members,  I accidentally broke the plastic focusing tab into 2 pieces today. I searched on ebay and found there is a replacement tab for the following M-lenses:-  Summicron 35mm f2.0 (7-element), Elmarit 28 f2.8, Elmarit 21mm f2.8, Summicron 50mm f2.0 (V4) - I own this lenses and checked not fit  I measured the diameter of the focusing ring of my 35 summilux at 50mm but I have no idea whether the curve of the above lenses fits the 35 lux. It seems that 35 summicron may fit for 35 lux but need to check before I place the bid. Does anyone who owns the above lenses and could measure the diameter for the focusing ring for me.  Thanks Welcome, dear visitor! mmradman Posted November 13, 2016 Share #2 Â Posted November 13, 2016 Have you considered superglue. Â One caveat though, I heard fumes could be damaging to optics but same applies to repairer, work in well ventilated area.
Frase Posted November 14, 2016 Share #3 Â Posted November 14, 2016 49.45mm, Watch when you take it apart you mark the point where the helicoil starts as it tricky to get it in the right place when you reassemble. good luck. Infantasy Posted November 14, 2016 Author Share #4 Â Posted November 14, 2016 Thanks Frase. I guess the tab of 35 summicron fits for 35 summilux.
Frase Posted November 14, 2016 Share #5 Â Posted November 14, 2016 Thanks Frase. I guess the tab of 35 summicron fits for 35 summilux. no problem, thats actually a replacement tab on that summicron, it was one for a 40mm summicron from memory there was a slight difference in the fitting but nothing that couldn't be fixed easily. To be honest when you see how they are held on its a wonder they don't break more often and leica should really have made them easily fixed from the outside!
