TheGodParticle/Hari Posted November 12, 2016 Share #1  Posted November 12, 2016 Advertisement (gone after registration) I use UV/IR filters on most of my M lenses  I just bought a 28 Lux and assumed it would take the filter from my 75 Cron as both have 49mm filter thread  Not the case - my 49mm UV/IR Leica filter sits on top of the lens and there are no threads for me to screw it in with  Does the 28 Lux have to be fed a drop in filter like the 21Lux/24Lux?  Any experiences here? Google search didn't turn up any useful info on this.  Gruß, Hari

mmradman Posted November 12, 2016 Share #2 Â Posted November 12, 2016 What happened to the manual? Â Unscrew the lens hood first, there is perfectly accessible 49mm filter thread, fit the filter and return the hood. Once you unscrew the hood you may find protective ring in place, don't remember as I did this mid last year, remove it first.
jip Posted November 12, 2016 Share #3 Â Posted November 12, 2016 The lens comes with the hood and a protective ring (basically so the lens looks pretty without a hood as well).
