Advertisement Posted January 10, 2017 Posted January 10, 2017 Hi cirke, Take a look here Leica M 10. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
edwardkaraa Posted January 10, 2017 Share #1182 Posted January 10, 2017 Good work! Presumably he wouldn't lend it to you for a while... Sorry edited post as I misread the Thai text.
ELAN Posted January 10, 2017 Share #1183 Posted January 10, 2017 ISO dial is interesting. The red A is Auto, but what's the symbol next to it? If the dial's first mark is ISO 200 then the last is 12800. Could the M10 have only one more ISO stop?
NigelG Posted January 10, 2017 Share #1184 Posted January 10, 2017 Assuming it's real - initially sceptical but looks more and more convincing - the conveniently out-of-focus iso dial looks like it runs to 6400 with a low or 100 and maybe a 'HI' setting. I think the lack of markings on the on dial makes sense if 'burst' mode and self timer are menu based. I for one don't need to be reminded which switch turns it on..... That red mark really looks like a P to me. I hope I'm wrong.
edwardkaraa Posted January 10, 2017 Share #1187 Posted January 10, 2017 Advertisement (gone after registration) That red mark really looks like a P to me. I hope I'm wrong. If you view the shot at 200%, you will see somewhat clearly the ISO markings from 100 to 6400. The black letter is probably P for push and the red is A, but that's just a guess. NigelG Posted January 10, 2017 Share #1188 Posted January 10, 2017 I assumed 'A' for auto Iso and then tried to look at the other settings based on stop steps and assumed 12800 had too many numbers so maybe 'HI' at the "top"
mmradman Posted January 10, 2017 Share #1189 Posted January 10, 2017 The hotshoe is flush with the back, on the 240 it is shifted about 2mm forward. Ah, but on M240 hot shoe cover goes over the side to plug in "USB" type EVF2 port. I would say naked hot shoe should be same depth.
John Black Posted January 10, 2017 Share #1190 Posted January 10, 2017 I assumed the other letter is "M" to manually set the ISO via LCD screen - like ISO 12800, etc. I really, really, really, really, really want to see a picture of hot whether there are pins for the Visoflex 20 or similar. The camera looks the same size as the M-240 (to my eyes). The right side around the directional pad changed. I don't think there is any way to know from this image if the new LCD is 3" or 3.2" as rumored. The round piece around the OVF definitely looks larger. That could mean new diopter lenses are needed if the opening is actually larger. New 1.25x, etc... No plastic "doors" or "covers" atop for GPS or WiFi, so if those feature are there, it'll via the EVF - which I don't like because that means the EVF will be needed for embedding GPS. Mike Rawcs Posted January 10, 2017 Share #1192 Posted January 10, 2017 The rumors about the larger viewfinder might be true. Looks like the Zeiss Ikon. If the viewfinder is larger I might finally be able to see the 28mm framelines.

The black letter is probably P for push and the red is A, but that's just a guess. I agree with your reading of the numbers, but the more I look, the less clearly I can see the other characters. I think you've confirmed that the M10 is not far away now, which is a step forward.
helged Posted January 10, 2017 Share #1196 Posted January 10, 2017 a clear and clean body - differentiating it to the technically more advanced (but also nice-looking, IMHO) SL. looking forward learning what's hiding under the silver body on Jan 18! GLC Posted January 10, 2017 Share #1198 Posted January 10, 2017 definitely slimmer. hold up your 240 and view it at the same angle as the image. then see how the shutter speed dial and and on off switch line up with the body. youll find the a lot more available space on your
jmahto Posted January 10, 2017 Share #1199 Posted January 10, 2017 Where is the pop-up flash? Seriously.... the real question is this: If I buy this under the cover then how long will it take before my wife notices that I have sold M240 and bought a new camera? The ISO knob will give it away immediately. No chance I'm afraid. I have the same dilemma as you
