Jeff S Posted December 12, 2016 Share #41 Posted December 12, 2016 Advertisement (gone after registration) Jeff The thing is Leica is about 2% the size of Canon. Cannon has money to spend on CS whereas Leica is counting every penny they have.......... It's not about advertising, it's about delivery....all the more reason for a small company, which presumably is (or should be) closer to its customer base, to deliver. That's where small businesses have to excel.....or ultimately fail. Jeff

That's where small businesses have to excel.....or ultimately fail. Jeff My experience with Canon service has been beyond excellent. When I've taken in lenses and bodies for service or repair at their Singapore facility, turnaround has been very quick. I've been offered loaners for nearly everything (only one they didn't have a spare copy available at the time was a TS-E 24mm Mk II), and, when running to a deadline, have received daily SMS' on status and delivery. Their counterparts in Australia provided me with a brand new replacement when I killed an EF 85mm f1.2L Mk II in Papua New Guinea in an unfortunate geothermal encounter. Whilst some of their products do not amaze, I have never encountered a company that has willingly provided such a level of service.
