DezFoto Posted November 22, 2016 Share #21 Β Posted November 22, 2016 Advertisement (gone after registration) Personally I was never happy with the 50 Summicron, but I'm quite fond of the 50 Summarit f/2.5. I found the Summicron to flare easily and it had a different colour signature from ASPH lenses, which the Summarit more closely matched. I haven't used the current f/2.4 Summarit, but if it's as good as the older non-ASPH f/2.5, then I can't image you being disappointed by it.
Advertisement Posted November 22, 2016 Posted November 22, 2016 Hi DezFoto, Take a look here Leica m 50 summicron (Not APO) or Summarit 2.4. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
indergaard Posted November 23, 2016 Share #22 Β Posted November 23, 2016 I would choose the Summarit if you are going to use it on digital. Mainly due to the flare and focus shift issues that are apparent on all the Summicrons prior to the APO.
