Advertisement Posted October 6, 2016 Posted October 6, 2016 Hi jmahto, Take a look here iPhone 7 vs M9. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Gregm61 Posted October 6, 2016 Share #2 Posted October 6, 2016 Great, I need those parking level signs to be good and clear when I capture them so I can remember where I parked my car at the airport.
erl Posted October 6, 2016 Share #3 Posted October 6, 2016 Great image quality I am sure, but 90% of what I shoot demands fast reflexes, high (light) sensitivity and anything but carefully choreographed scenarios. A Leica stil reigns supreme in that area. OTOH, my neighbour who is currently travelling in Italy, took my advice to only use her iPhone instead of buying a travel camera. I think her phone cam will please her enormously in her situation. Thank god she won't be holding her phone cam up in front of me next week when I travel to Spain, Portugal and Morocco, but I am sure others will! jmahto Posted October 6, 2016 Author Share #4 Posted October 6, 2016 I am sure the author in the article doesn't claim that iPhone 7 is a substitute to M9. I am also sure M9 (or from any cam with bigger sensors) files will be way better with more DR, better noise control and in general more suited to post processing. Not to mention that you can use different lenses for different look. But it is interesting to see what can be achieved from a tiny sensor.
erl Posted October 6, 2016 Share #5 Posted October 6, 2016 Yes, I guess the point I was making was something to do with control. I am a control freak.
