DaveEP Posted June 12, 2007 Share #1 Posted June 12, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) I have been waiting for dust-aid to be tested and approved for use with the M8, and after a couple if chasing e-mails, it's finally happened today. Apparently Leica would not sell the sensor covers to the Dust-Aid guys, so they had to send Dust-Aid to Leica for testing. They just got word back today that they did not find any problems, so the Dust-Aid site now shows M8 as OK. For those who have not used it, it actually works very well, and cleaned my 1Ds2 sensor where even eclipse had failed (and I spent hours trying!). A lot of people are put of by the idea of putting something 'sticky' on their sensors, but the pads are not so sticky that they even stick to your hand etc.... For travel (flying) where you can't take fluids etc, Dust-Aid really worked for me. If you don't like the idea of it, just pass it by and keep using what you are using now

agro Posted June 13, 2007 Share #3 Posted June 13, 2007 That is good news indeed. Have purchased Dust-Aid a while ago and was scared to use it while my sensor is getting very dirty. Cheers Agro
