M240 EVF & Polarizing filter

There are both Series VII and Series VIII polarizers available if you should desire to use one on a wide angle Summilux.

The solution for the E60 lenses is Leica's own adapter 14485, which adapts E60 to E82 and lets you peek a little (hardly usable) through the window gaps of that adapter ring through the actual polarizer through the optical viewfinder.

I bought one of these ages ago (to use my E82 CPL, I have for the Leica S lenses on the odd occasion I want to put that contraption on the Noctilux or 75 Summilux.

It's an awkward piece of kit and I surely wouldn't drag it into the field. It is likely much better to find a universal polarizer mount and use sheet filters instead with some DIY for a much more usable experience if you must have polarizers on those lenses.

If you go with the E60 - E82 adapter, I advise to not buy a CPL with integrated rotation ring, but find a dump polarizer, ideally in aluminum mount (saving weight), as the B+W KSM CPL I have for my S lenses weights a ton and is very ungainly attached to the M lenses this way (hence my advice towards a universal holder + DIY).

Received my evf. I'm impressed, my focus hit ratio is high, I set my profile for b&w jpeg and raw and find the viewfinder very pleasant to use. My first impression of the evf with color is marginal. Bottom line is I should have purchased sooner.

Thanks for all the advice.
