Paul J Posted July 21, 2016 Share #1 Posted July 21, 2016 Advertisement (gone after registration) Leica themselves said the 100mm Summicron-S is like the Noctilux of the S System. Looking at the rendering, I would say it's sort of comparable...ish. It's something I will need to test or myself - but - did anyone ever manage to do some comparisons in this regard? Advertisement Posted July 21, 2016 Posted July 21, 2016 Hi Paul J, Take a look here Summicron-S v Noctilux-M . I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
jip Posted July 21, 2016 Share #2 Posted July 21, 2016 I find it to compare more with the 80mm Summilux-R or 75mm Summilux-M. I shot them side by side a few times, the S lens blew the others out of the water at every aspect. Unless you like the 'downsides' of the Nocitulux/Sumiluxes. TheGodParticle/Hari Posted July 21, 2016 Share #3 Posted July 21, 2016 I tried the S-100/2 as well as the Cine 100/2 (on the SL though), the rendering does have some similarity with the Noctilux. My personal impression was that the cine 100/2 was way sharper than the S100 and the N0.95 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
