glenerrolrd Posted June 9, 2007 Share #1 Posted June 9, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) Have been a big fan of the Zeiss External Finders. You have to try one to see how much brighter they are than the Leica or CV alternatives. They also seem to have much less distortion making framing much easier . In the past the big negative is that they are expensive . A few months ago they were over $440 at dealers in NYC .....Popflash has reduced their price for the 21 or the 25/28 to $277....they also accept standard Zeiss ZI dioters should you need one. James Mitchell Posted June 9, 2007 Share #4 Posted June 9, 2007 Wow, those are substantial cuts all right... Makes selling them second-hand very difficult.
James Mitchell Posted June 9, 2007 Share #5 Posted June 9, 2007 By the way, hand-coding the Zeiss 28/8 with a Sharpie is a breeze. And the lens has just become a keeper. I wouldn't sell it used at below $700.
J_Brittenson Posted June 9, 2007 Share #6 Posted June 9, 2007 By the way, hand-coding the Zeiss 28/8 with a Sharpie is a breeze. What about the 21/2.8? How did you code the 28?
