The B/W photos from the S (006) are slightly, but clearly, better (in terms of resolution, tone smoothness...) than the ones from the M246. But with the M246 the ISO can be very high, and the quality will still be there. The S must be used on a tripod. The M246 doesn't need it. Etc...
