chellm Posted July 3, 2016 Share #1 Posted July 3, 2016 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hullo everybody ! I mounted the *motor winder* (not the motor drive) on a Leica R 8 just bought almost new at a fair price. Wonderful design and ergonomy - not many buttons and wheel to operate but few commands and concentration on the framing. I don't have a lens yet and I'm looking for a nice one to match it soon - maybe a 3-cams 21mm f.4.. I tried the shutter button and I have found it very metallic and somehow hard - which doesn't bother me. The point is that the motor winder fires the shutter always twice taking 2 or more pictures. If you press the finger lighter on the shutter button you risk instead to shake the camera and have blurry negs. I ask if anbody has incurred in this same problem and - when a lens will be mounted - the shutter button will be "softer" - the required pression of the finger will be less metallic and snappy.. If I'm not wrong there IS NOT a command / wheel / button to make the winder to fire one frame at the time..? It is always on "continuous" firing.. ins't it ? Thank you. ramarren Posted July 3, 2016 Share #2 Posted July 3, 2016 I found this myself frequently when 'dry firing' the camera with the winder on it, but it never happens when I am out taking photos with film in the camera.
